It is being reported that Carolina is hiring Tampa OC Dave Canales to be their next head coach. Last week, Carolina hired former Panthers linebacker Dan Morgan to be President of Football Operations / General Manager. I am not getting my hopes up. When you expect the worst you will always be proven correct or pleasantly surprised.

Harbaugh Jr. to the Chargers!

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports Jim Harbaugh is set to leave Michigan to accept the Chargers’ head coaching job on a five-year deal.

The Chargers have finally locked in Jim Harbaugh after holding a second interview with him. Harbaugh was scheduled to interview with the Falcons for a second time, but the Chargers did not let him leave and he is now departing the National Champion Michigan Wolverines to return to the NFL. Harbaugh previously coached the 49ers, leading them to a Super Bowl appearance in four seasons with the team. He now returns to the NFL ranks to coach Justin Herbert and a Chargers team that disappointed expectations in 2023. Michigan, meanwhile, has a head coaching vacancy just weeks after winning the National Championship.

49ers vs Chiefs in two weeks. Was hoping Detroit would get in but it was not to be. Will be rooting for San Francisco because they have CMC and I don't want Kansas City to win another one.

Stefanski won Coach of the Year .. but he TIED with DeMeco Ryans of HOU. Stefanski won it based on receiving ONE more 1st place vote (weighting is used).

Flacco won Comeback vs. Damar Hamlin of BUF, 151 to 140.

The Kansas City Chiefs have won the Super Bowl. First repeat winner since New England in '04-'05. Patrick Mahomes has won his third Super Bowl MVP award. I did not want any of that to happen.

Regarding Super Bowl LVIII...

As I really didn't have a dog in this fight, it was simply a very good hard-nose contest between two evenly matched teams.
The only thing I didn't like about it was shown between plays at the 11:27 mark of the 2nd quarter.

Cameras showed Travis Kelcie approaching Coach Reid, yelling and screaming at him, and then bumping Andy,
clearly knocking him off balance. Apparently, Travis was upset at not getting the ball, denying him the spotlight to shine for his superstar girlfriend.
Kelcie's behavior is absolutely unacceptable. It's yet another temper tantrum from this spoiled brat caught on camera. The guy is simply out of control.
I don't recall him acting this way before dating Taylor.

Regardless of their Super Bowl win, the Kansas City Chiefs organization should send a clear and strong message to Travis with a
fine and single-game suspension, to be enforced the first regular season game of 2024.

wmonbear: for the first time that I can remember, KC started pulling Kelce from "some" plays this season. The prior play was one of those instances. It was a run play off left tackle. FROM WHAT THE ANNOUNCERS SAID - the tight end on that side "whiffed" on the block / didn't "set the edge." The defensive player who was not blocked then caused the running back to fumble.

So .. in my opinion, Kelce wasn't BS about "not getting the ball." He was BS about being pulled on a key / red zone play for a different tight end (almost surely NOT as athletically gifted), and then the team had a turnover, when it likely would have scored at least a field goal on that possession.
